We will shortly be publishing on this site a general guide to our translation rates. Prices are per 1000 words of the original text and are subject to revision. The actual price for a translation will depend on the complexity and urgency of the task. Although translations will be proof-read, we would suggest that longer texts are looked at by professional proof-readers. This can be arranged at an extra charge. Where possible, allowance will be given for repeated text.

Technical and/or legal documents will be subject to a premium charge.

For longer translations approximately one third of the cost must be paid in advance as a sign of the client's bona fides. This is also reassurance for any freelance we may use.

The remainder will be due on completion and documents will not be released until payment has cleared.

Similarly, any shorter translation will only be released after receipt of payment.

Neither Genua Madrigal ltd nor its representatives can be held responsible for mistakes in the original document. We will declare whether a particular text is not on our normal topics and, if still requested to carry out such a translation, can only offer a "best effort" guarantee - e.g. if a document is in highly specialised language we would try our best to use the correct expressions in English but will not be able to offer a guarantee of accuracy.

Book translations will only be undertaken on receipt of written assurance that the client is not infringing Copyright.
